Daily Dose of Dapper: Peeking Paw

Peeking paw

We all know that cats have super-bendy bodies that seem to defy nature. I proved that one day when mom was watching tv and happened to glance down at me and realized I seemed to have a paw coming out of my back! How is that possible?! Even the top view doesn’t give any clues.

Somehow I managed to fall asleep with my right paw curled up near my face, and my left paw completely stretched out below me so just the tip was sticking out. Don’t ask me why, but at the moment it felt comfortable. Here’s a gratuitous toe bean pic (close-up of the sneaky paw).

Feline Friends Friday: Facts about Cats

I find lots of great cat pictures and info on Pinterest, and when I came across these two I knew I just had to share. One is scientific, one not so scientific, but both are very true. More reasons why we all love cats. Did you know all of these cat facts?

Cat Lady Covets: Pocket Spirit Animal

Project Social T Peeking Cat Tee - Urban Outfitters

Last time I was online shopping at Urban Outfitters I was this close to buying this shirt. But thoughts of savings and responsibility danced through my head and I held strong. The shirt looks super soft, and has a great classic relaxed fit.

Pocket Spirit Animal GrumpyThe reason I call it a “Pocket Spirit Animal” comes from a homemade present I gave my dad last Christmas (see right). Grumpy Cat was gaining in popularity, but wasn’t really to the point where you could buy a lot of items with the grumpster herself on them yet. My dad loved Grumpy’s sass and hilarious meme, so I took it upon myself to make my own graphic in Photoshop and print it on iron transfer paper to customize one of his old shirts as a joke (note even the pocket is faux and was created in Photoshop). The joke went over well, but alas, the quality of the transfer was not up to par and washed out after a couple of wears.

This shirt from Urban Outfitters looks a bit more professional, and I’m sure it wouldn’t wash off after a couple of wears like my version did. But I’d like to think I was ahead of the trends, considering I made this similar version a year ago. And handmade gifts are always awesome.

Daily Dose of Dapper: Snapshots from the Holidays

Tux elf

Does anyone else wish we were still celebrating the holidays? Sigh. It’s one of my favorite times of the year, all of the lights, yummy food, time with family, and snuggle weather. I’m still reminiscing and wanted to share some pics of my holiday celebrations. Disclaimer: I didn’t pick out the elf outfit or reindeer antlers, but wore them to amuse my parents (and was rewarded with treats). Hope everyone else had a great holiday!

Tux Tuesday: New Toy!

Tux and his track toy

OMG you guys, so you know how I was wishing for a track toy for Christmas last month? Well grandma got me one and I love it soooo much! In this pic I’m blurry because of how fast I move when pouncing on the ball inside the track. I love sticking my paws in to find it, and will occasionally switch it up by scratching on the top while I’m preparing to pounce. Mom and dad like it because it keeps me company while they’re at work or eating and don’t want to be disturbed by playtime (but who doesn’t want to play all the time?!). I highly suggest it to any of my kitty friends!

Check out some video mom took of me playing with my new toy!

Happy New Year!

Tux on NYE

Hello to all of my friends in 2015! Hope you all had a great holiday and start to the new year. I took a little break from the blog to fully enjoy my holidays (even us cats need a break from work), but now I’m back and ready to blog!

I wanted to share some pics from my New Year’s celebrations…top pic is right before midnight, bottom pic is right after. What can I say, I’m a party animal and needed a little siesta after all of the excitement. Mom and dad stayed at home to party with me which was really nice since I get scared of all of the loud firecrackers and noisemakers (they even let me sniff their caviar!).

I’ve decided my resolutions for 2015 are to drink more water and to get as much beauty sleep as possible. What did you do for New Year’s Eve? Any resolutions?
